Handicare 950 Straight Stairlift

Our economical base model, the 950 Simplicity stairlift is everything but. For an entry level solution that will save you money without any detriments to safety or quality, choose the 950 straight stairlift.

The 950 includes all of our dependable standard features, such as the manual swivel seat and manual folding footrest while still maintaining a slim profile of only 11¼” from the wall when folded. To ensure operation of the stairlift would be simple, we collaborated with occupational therapists to design a ergonomic toggle that could be controlled by all users, even those with joint problems, such as arthritis or rheumatism.

Unique to the 950 line of stairlifts is its standard continuous charging function, which allows the stairlift to be parked anywhere along the track and the battery will be recharged. This ensures maximum battery availability in the event of a power outage and also eliminates the need for your stairlift to be parked at a designated location. This also becomes convenient if you have an obstruction at the bottom of your staircase and you would prefer to park your stairlift away from the landing.

If space at the bottom of your stairs is of a premium, or there are obstructions that you need to avoid (such as a doorway, table or heating unit), the 950 can also be upgraded to include a manual folding hinge or a powered SlideTrack, a proprietary feature to Handicare. The innovative design of the SlideTrack eliminates any track intrusion on your staircase or landing.

Available option(s) for this stairlift

• Slide track: Similar to a powered hinge, the Slide Track works automatically when the toggle or remote control is activated.
• Manual hinge: The track can be folded away from the doorway manually, giving clear access.
