Dear Stairlift shopper:

Want to save money? Of course!

Many homes in central Florida are single level ranch style homes without basements because of the high water levels throughout Florida. That trend is changing in 2018. More and more people are coming to Florida due to low taxes and no state income tax. They are leaving the high income tax states because of changes in the federal tax laws. With more people moving to central Florida, more houses are being built. To accommodate for space, two story houses are becoming more popular in this area meaning there will be stairs. These stairs will either be straight up or have a mid-landing. The good news for people who have difficulty navigating their stairs with safety, stairlifts are made for straight staircases and also staircases that are curved.

I have noticed that most of the new homes being built in this area are stairs that would require a curved stairlift. The price difference between a straight stairlift and curved stairlift is significant. A straight stairlift will generally cost between $3000 and $5000 after installation. A curved stairlift will generally cost between $10,000 and $17,000 after installation. Wow! But do you really need to spend over $10,000 for a curved stairlift? If you are in the market for a stairlift that needs to curve around bends, ask yourself these simple questions:

  1. Am I capable of transferring from one stairlift to another stairlift at the mid landing?
  2. Do I want to transfer from one stairlift to another stairlift at the mid landing?
  3. Am I capable of walking 2-4 steps without any problems?
  4. Am I willing to spend extra $$$ for the safety and convenience of a curved stairlift?

If you answered Yes to the first 3 questions and no to the 4th question, you can save thousands of dollars by having 2 straight stairlifts installed. You will receive your stairlifts very quickly because Central Florida Stairlift has straight stairlifts in stock to accommodate any length of stairs. Also, a curve stairlift system takes about 4-5 weeks for production and installation. Generally, you will save about $4,000-$5,000 total when opting for the two straight rail systems over the curved rail system.
